Neo-Classical Ceiling Design & Ceiling Rose
This project took place in a Georgian home and reflected the Client’s desire to install decorative plaster designs that were in keeping with the property’s heritage.
Following an on site consolation, Stevensons of Norwich proposed the Neoclassical strapwork ceiling design, with Vitruvian scrolls and floral paterae.
A scrolling acanthus pattern was selected to the perimeter of the room and a Soane ceiling rose for the centre piece.
The decorative plaster ceiling was handmade at our Works in Norwich, prior to being set out and installed by our craftsmen on site.

Historic Plasterwork Restoration
Stevensons were delighted to be involved in the renovation of a Georgian town house in North Norfolk.
The first stage of the project involved surveying the original lath and plaster ceiling in the Dining Room.
Pressure tests revealed numerous areas where the ceiling had become loose and subsequently the majority of the ceiling was secured using screws and washers. Historical cracks were filled and made good before a new skim coat applied.
The second phase of the project involved setting out and installing a handmade Georgian ceiling design (our DC02b Bolton House) and large modillion block cornice (our C162 Tuscan cornice)
